Presentation of the Website

In response to a growing interest for the classification of constitutional systems, this website presents a new classification based on each system’s constitutive elements and objectively defined criteria.

To provide a fuller classification, the website provides statistical data that may be used to establish correlations among a system’s constitutive elements and a state’s other important cultural factors (a state’s legal system and official languages). These factors were the subject matter of our study “World Legal Systems” and are reproduced in this website. For more information regarding this previous study, see www.juriglobe.ca.
